About the role
As the Financial Controller you would be required to control and guide the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable function.
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience preferred
- Proven experience supervising staff and managing processes
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments.
What you will be doing
- Maintaining and reconciling accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Prepare and evaluate applicable accounting reports to identify trends, insufficiencies and opportunities for cost-savings and relays the conclusion to management.
- Implement standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies.
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including supervising staff, managing workflows, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments
- Ensure that financial deadlines are met and that customer service is provided to all internal stakeholders
- Monitor accounts and ensure that any discrepancies are identified and resolved
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in the preparation of the annual audit
- Extract the system-driven report.
